Ashley Tisdale

A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Ashley began her dance education at VanCura Ballet Conservatory where she studied under guest artists such as Mel Tomlinson, Tome Cousin, and Stephanie Braly-Beutjer. In 2007, she moved to Chattanooga Ballet to continue her training under Karen Smith and Frank Hay. Ashley joined Chattanooga Ballet’s corps de ballet at age 13, and went on to dance such roles in Chattanooga Ballet’s The Nutcracker as Clara, Marzipan demi-soloist, and Spanish soloist. She twice performed in Amahl and the Night Visitors, a collaborative production by Chattanooga Ballet, Chattanooga Theatre Center and Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra and Opera. She has also performed in various ballets including A Christmas Carol, L’Histoire de Soldat, La Boutique Fantasque, Cinderella, and Peter and the Wolf, as well as many other excerpts and new works. Ashley began teaching for Chattanooga Ballet in 2014. She currently studies at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is pursuing a B.S.N.
