Message from the Board President

December 07, 2017

Dear Friends of Chattanooga Ballet,

It’s hard to believe that it’s that time of year again when timeless traditions bring back warm memories of Christmases past! And what holiday season would be complete without visiting a performance of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker? Chattanooga Ballet is celebrating its 30th year of presenting The Nutcracker for our community in collaboration with Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra! Did you know that approximately 310,000 people have been captivated by the nearly 4,500 local dance students and professionals who have danced on the Tivoli stage throughout the years? Each year nearly 5100 local school children including inner city and rural students get an introduction to classical ballet, symphonic music and live theatre at our special performances just for them. Also, each year 120 local volunteers are involved in the production. What an amazing impact Chattanooga Ballet has had in our community!

I hope that the Chattanooga Ballet’s The Nutcracker been an inspiration to you and I certainly hope you are planning on attending a performance this December 9th or 10th! Under the executive direction of Bob Willie and artistic direction of Andrew Parker along with Joellen Wojtowicz and our company. this will be a performance you won’t want to miss! Tickets are on sale now at the Tivoli Box Office. Also, we’d love for you to join us at our annual spring concert which in May of 2018 will include major excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty!

Chattanooga Ballet is one of Chattanooga’s most successful and prominent arts organizations and as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, relies heavily on the generosity of individuals, corporate sponsorships and foundations to continue our mission. I would like to invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to become involved in the Chattanooga Ballet’s ongoing success! Our goal this year is to raise $30,000 through individual donors. You can make a tax deductible donation to our Annual Giving Campaign by sending a check or calling Chattanooga Ballet with your credit card information. (Pledge card and giving info included). Please help us continue to touch the lives of children for generations to come!
